My Coco & Eve Sweet Repair Hair Mask Review.
I’m pretty lazy with hair masks, but I was excited to slather this one all over my thirsty ends.
I don't colour my hair, but I run my blow dryer and ghd tongs through my hair every second day, so my ends are (more than) a little dry and frazzled.
Let's talk texture, smell and all that fun stuff.
I didn’t love the super thick consistency on first touch. I was expecting more of a whipped texture, and wondered if it would be too heavy for my hair.
You don't need a huge amount of product, so one tub will last you ages. I made the rookie error of putting too much in my hair.
It was an instant uh-oh. Let's say I was distracted by the sweet scent.
Once I rinsed and started blow drying, my hair did feel softer and silkier. But nothing mind blowing.
I was even going to text a friend with dry, coloured hair because I thought this protein hair mask would be better suited to her.
Lucky I didn't, because this mask truly won me over the next day.
Usually when I style my hair after blow drying, my ends still feel like straw.
But not after using this intensely nourishing repair mask.
I was in awe when I ran the ghd through my hair the next day, and my ends were silky smooth.
Two days later, I took the selfie for this article and my hair still had a lovely healthy sheen.
This alone makes it worth every penny in my books, so imagine what it could do for colour-damaged hair?
OK, so who would love and benefit from using this product?
Anyone with bleached, frizzy, or fried hair, or those of us who want to give our hair an instant boost of shine and softness.
And if you love the Like A Virgin Coco & Eve hair mask, I can confirm...
The new one is just as good (and Instagram-worthy) as the cult original.
