Shop Milk & Cream Cleansers

Milk and cream cleansers are a gentle approach to cleansing that can do your skin a world of good, especially if your oil cleansers or foaming cleansers aren’t working out for you. They’re ideal for those with sensitivity, irritation, or severely dry skin.

Why are Cream Cleansers the best choice for my skin?

Unlike other facial cleansers, which can be harsh and drying, milk and cream cleansers have gained immense popularity around the world for cleansing your skin without stripping it of natural oils for a balanced, hydrated complexion.

Made from a natural emulsion of fats and water, milk cleansers are incredible for getting rid of dirt, grime, makeup and unwanted oils and toning your skin to give it that silky soft finish.

What's the difference between a milk cleanser and a cream cleanser?

While it may just seem like semantics, there are some key differences between milk cleansers and cream cleansers. For a start, cream cleansers tend to be a little thicker and more nourishing than a milk cleanser. As a result, they can be more hydrating - but if you're on the fence about whether a cream cleanser might be a little too rich for your skin, then a milk cleanser could be a much better option.

Generally, a milk cleanser is a lighter option, and can be great for those with normal or combination skin who are experiencing some temporary dehydration. Alternatively, the gentle nature of a milk cleanser also makes them a fantastic morning cleanser option, while a cream cleanser might be better suited to the evening, when trying to remove the dirt, grime and makeup of the day!

What is the best cream cleanser?

The best cream cleanser is going to be the one that suits your particular skin type and concerns, but if you're looking for somewhere to start, you're in the right place.  Many cream cleansers, such as Philosophy’s Purity Made Simple 3-in-1 Cleanser or Dr. Hauschka’s Soothing Cleansing Milk are also enriched with natural oils, vitamins and antioxidants to help beautifully condition skin and soothe sensitivities.

Other milk and cream cleansers, like Medik8’s Cream Cleanse, don’t even require water, making them the best cream cleanser for those who are on the move, or prefer water-free cleansing due to intensely sensitive skin. Just apply then wipe away with a clean tissue! Nourishing and non-greasy, our range of milk and cream cleansers are excellent for sensitive or dry skin.

Good option

It's a nice cleanser, maybe better for double cleanse as the texture is kind of thick and harder to spread than their other cleansers

Great for sensitive dry skin

I use this cleanser everyday at night and I feel like it’s perfect for my normal-dry, sensitive skin. It doesn’t strip off all the oil from you face giving you that tight feeling, it’s still really gentle and leaves you feeling clean. I haven’t used it as a make up remover so I can’t comment on how well it take off make up but as an everyday cleanser I would definitely re-purchase.
